More Power! 🚜 ⚡
With Clarkson’s Farm Season 4 now streaming on Amazon Prime Video we couldn’t help but notice Jeremy’s eternal quest for “MORE POWER!” echoing around the Diddly Squat Farm.
Allye's spectacular new MegaMAX line-up of battery energy storage system could turbocharge Diddly Squat Farm into the most energy-efficient farm... ....in the world! 🚀 😜
Alongside the MAX300 mobile battery, the Allye MAX1000 is the energy storage system with enough grunt to match your appetite for POWER! 🔋 🤯
🚗 Now, we know Jeremy famously dislikes EVs with the passion of a thousand burning clutches. But here’s the beautiful irony - we’re taking EV batteries and putting them to good use by helping farmers slash energy costs and actually make money from the grid!
Increasing Energy Costs
⚡ As farming increasingly electrifies (robotic milking, automated feeding systems etc.), energy costs are skyrocketing. Many farms face the double whammy of aging infrastructure and grid constraints - meaning increased electricity demand often requires expensive supply upgrades that can cost a fortune.
💛 No Farmers, No Food isn’t just a campaign slogan - it’s reality. UK farmers contribute £14.4bn to our economy annually, yet they’re being hammered harder than a Lamborghini’s clutch on the Nürburgring.
How Farms can Lower Costs
But here’s where it gets interesting - farms are perfectly positioned for battery storage to lower their costs (and we're not talking giving up your land for large battery projects):
✅ Distributed locations across the grid
✅ Plenty of space for installation
✅ Can work around existing electrical limitations
✅ Many already have solar or are thinking of installing PV
✅ Opportunity for new revenue streams through grid services
Diddly Squat is the most entertaining farm in Britain, and the addition of battery storage could lower costs and generate revenue. This means farmers can spend less time wrestling with eye-watering electricity bills, and more time on what they do best - growing the food we all eat.
